What we collect, why, who sees it, and how to get it removed.

We ask for KYC at the booking step only. Browsing needs nothing but the page.
To let you book and pay; to give the property owner the details they need to house you; to meet our legal obligations around identity and payments; and to support you when something goes wrong.
We do not sell your personal data. Ever.
A property owner sees what they need to house you: your name, your contact number, and your KYC verification status. They do not see your payment instruments or your browsing history.
Other residents never see your personal details through RoomAdda.
Our support staff can view your account to help you, and when they do, you are notified and it is recorded.
We share data with payment gateways to process a payment, and with authorities where the law requires it.
When you close your account we permanently erase your name, contact details, photos and KYC documents. We keep payment and invoice records because tax and accounting law requires it — those are held against an anonymous reference that is no longer linked to you.
You can close your account yourself: Account → Delete account. We will tell you first if anything is outstanding, such as a live stay or an unfinished refund.
Account data: until you close your account.
Financial records: to be confirmed years, as required by Indian tax law.
KYC documents: deleted when you close your account.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. KYC documents sit in private storage and are served only through short-lived links to people entitled to see them.
Photographs uploaded to the platform have their location metadata stripped before we store them, so a picture of a room cannot reveal where it was taken.
